Questions
Find answers to common questions about surrogacy, our process, and what to expect when working with Newborn Advantage.
General
Gestational surrogacy is when a woman (the surrogate) carries a pregnancy for another person or couple (the intended parents). The surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby, as the embryo is created using the intended parents' or donors' eggs and sperm through IVF.
We are a mother-daughter team with over 20 years of experience. What sets us apart is our faster matching process — while other agencies can take up to 8 months, we typically match you within two weeks. We also offer a rematch guarantee at no additional cost if your candidate doesn't pass medical clearance.
The entire process, from initial consultation to birth, typically takes 12 to 18 months. This includes matching (approximately 2 weeks with our agency), legal contracts, medical procedures, and the pregnancy itself.
Absolutely. We support all types of families including LGBTQ+ couples, heterosexual couples, and single parents. Everyone deserves the chance to build a family, and we are here to help make that dream a reality.
Legal & Insurance
Surrogacy laws vary by state. We work with experienced reproductive attorneys who specialize in surrogacy law to ensure all legal aspects are properly handled. During your consultation, we will discuss the legal considerations specific to your situation.
All medical expenses related to the surrogacy pregnancy are fully covered by the intended parents. This includes prenatal care, delivery, and any pregnancy-related medical needs.
Both the intended parents and the surrogate will have independent legal representation. Comprehensive contracts are established before the medical process begins, clearly outlining the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved.
