    Your Journey

What Can I Expect from the Surrogacy Process?

Becoming a surrogate is a deeply rewarding and life-changing journey, and while every experience is unique, there are a few key stages you can expect. From start to finish, you'll be supported, respected, and guided every step of the way.

    1

    Initial Application & Screening

After submitting your application, you will go through a screening process which includes medical evaluations, a background check, and conversations to make sure surrogacy is a good fit for you. This helps ensure the process is safe and positive for everyone involved.

    2

    Matching with Intended Parents

Once you're approved, you'll be carefully matched with intended parents who share similar values and goals. You'll have a chance to connect with them personally before moving forward, to make sure it feels like the right match.

    3

    Legal Agreements

You'll work with your own legal representation (at no cost to you) to review and sign a surrogacy contract. This agreement protects your rights, outlines responsibilities, and makes sure everyone is on the same page.

    4

    Medical Preparation & Embryo Transfer

You'll begin medications to prepare your body for the embryo transfer, which is done at a fertility clinic. This part is closely monitored by medical professionals, and you'll be fully supported throughout.

    5

    Pregnancy & Ongoing Support

Once pregnant, you'll receive excellent medical care and emotional support. You'll stay in touch with the intended parents, attend appointments, and focus on a healthy pregnancy—with your case manager and team by your side.

    6

    Delivery & Aftercare

When it's time to give birth, the intended parents will usually be present to welcome their baby. It's a powerful and emotional moment for everyone. After delivery, you'll receive postpartum care and continued support to help you recover and reflect on your incredible gift.

Surrogacy is an act of generosity, strength, and heart. While the process can have its emotional and physical ups and downs, many surrogates describe it as one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives. And you'll never walk it alone—we're here with you, every step of the way.

At Newborn Advantage, our goal is to create the perfect match — one built on shared values, expectations, and personalities. We take time to get to know both our surrogates and intended parents through thoughtful conversations and in-depth questions, ensuring that each match feels natural and mutually aligned. Once we've identified a potential match, we'll arrange a video meeting so you and the intended parents can connect and get to know each other. A match is confirmed only when both parties feel comfortable and confident moving forward — because the best journeys begin with true connection and trust.
